Our Flagship Video is Coming. The Bloopers Reel Might Beat It.

We spent a day in front of the camera with the brilliant team at VRO Creative. The result? A flagship video that will (we promise) look very professional indeed. Eventually.

Today was the day. The big one. The day Dudley Associates officially became a film production — well, sort of. We welcomed the wonderfully patient team at VRO Creative through our doors to help us capture something we’ve been building towards for a long time: a flagship video that truly shows the world who we are, what we do, and — more importantly — how brilliantly we do it.

The preparation was meticulous. The setting? Perfect. The team? Ready and raring to go. The first take? Let’s just say the editing suite is going to earn its money.

VRO Creative were nothing short of outstanding. Professional, calm, and armed with an impressive ability to keep a straight face while half the team suddenly forgot how to walk naturally the moment a lens pointed in their direction. Their support throughout the day was genuinely first-class — directing, framing, coaxing natural performances out of people who have spent their entire careers very sensibly not being on camera.

And then there was Steve Lawrence. Owner, and — it turns out — natural born on-screen talent. While the rest of us were busy discovering new and creative ways to look awkward, Steve was entirely in his element. Relaxed and completely at ease in front of the camera, he made the rest of us look like we’d never seen a human being have a conversation before. Well done, Steve. We’re taking notes.

But here’s the thing — behind all the laughter, the fluffed lines, and the mysteriously timed deliveries at the worst possible moment — something genuinely brilliant was being captured. Because what VRO Creative were documenting wasn’t just a company. It was a team. A real one. And that, no amount of bloopers can hide.

The finished video will showcase the full breadth of the Dudley Associates family — the teams, the craft, the culture. And it will be built around the values that drive everything we do:
